English pianist Jill Crossland appears regularly at major venues at home and abroad, including the Wigmore Hall and South Bank in London and two recent recitals at the Sage Gateshead, as well as Bridgewater and Fairfield Halls, Vienna Musikverein and Leipzig Gewandhaus, and her recordings, including the Bach Goldbergs on Warner Classics and the complete Bach Well-tempered Clavier on Signum, have won worldwide critical acclaim. The well-tempered Clavier has been described by the Penguin Guide to CDs as 'ranking with the finest previous versions, a remarkable achievement.' The concert is a preview of part of Jill's recording sessions next week. Jill has performed extensively in the local area and elsewhere in Sussex, including at the Brighton Festival, and in Hove, East Grinstead, Bognor Regis, and at Brighton College.

Uckfield Art Trail - 9 - 18th July 2010

The Uckfield Art Trail: based in eleven venues in and around Uckfield, involving local artists, both amateur and professional, new and old, will be displaying artwork from a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, textiles, ceramics and photography. Don’t miss our free Open Preview Evening, at the Wealden Skills Centre from 6pm - 9pm on Friday 9th July to get the Art Trail started.
