Support Groups
MUMS ALOUD is not just another toddler group - it is a support group run as a partnership between the Crowborough Health Visitors, St Richard's church and the mums themselves. It offers a space for both adults and pre-school children to socialise, but also offers support by way of educational and interesting talks on a wide variety of subject. The aim of the group is to help members to forge better relationships, especially with their children, to have some “me” time, and to raise their self-esteem and confidence by encouraging them to do things for themselves and for each other. Picnics, outings and other social activities are also enjoyed by the members.
The Mums Aloud group meets in St Richard’s church hall, Fermor Road in Crowborough on Wednesdays between 10 am and 12 noon, mainly during term times, although outings and other events are organised during the summer months. There is a charge of £1 per family per week for refreshments. Contact Annette on 01892 613311 or churchmousehols@aol.com if you’d like more details.
